Top seed Sparta reached the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex boys lacrosse final by defeating Voorhees and will face Warren Hills on May 9. The Morris County Tournament is also underway, with Mendham pulling off an upset against Montville in the second round.
Top seed Sparta earned its way back to the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex boys lacrosse final, defeating Voorhees on May 5.
The Spartans will visit Warren Hills for the title on May 9. They won their only title in 2024, toppling crosstown rival Pope John.
At the same time, the Morris County Tournament played its second round. The quarterfinals are set for Thursday at the better seed, with the semis on Saturday.
The MCT is almost straight chalk. Mendham pulled off the only second-round upset, toppling Montville in the 8-9 game on May 4.

The Minutemen got a jump on the MCT second round, avenging a season-opening Rizk loss against Montville, 9-7, on May 5. Senior midfielder Hudson Loures (14g, 15a, 21gb) had four goals and two assists in the MCT game.

The second-seeded Lions were upset by North Hunterdon, 15-14, in a HWS quarterfinal on May 2. Seniors Jack Gallucci (36g, 25a) and Hunter Parrillo (31g, 8a) are the top scorers.

Senior Luke Spelman (11g, 22a, 10gb) and sophomore Jace Stiansen (22g, 12gb) had four points apiece as top-seeded Sparta held off fifth seed Voorhees, 10-6 to advance to Saturday's final at Warren Hills. But it's just the third win in the past six games.
The final will take place on May 9.
Sparta defeated Voorhees to earn their spot in the final.

It is just the second win in the last five games, a stretch which includes a 19-5 loss to Chatham – the Golden Eagles' next MCT opponent. Junior Dylan Ralston (25g, 24a, 23gb) is the leader of a balanced squad.

Bianchi leader Madison took care of Morristown, 15-5, in the MCT second round on May 5 for the fourth win in the past five games. It's the Dodgers' second win against the Colonials this spring, following up on a 15-2 victory in the season opener. Senior midfielder Colin Byam (11g, 4a, 115gb) has won 76% of faceoffs.

Randolph extended its winning streak to seven against Roxbury in a MCT second-round game on May 5. Junior Ryan Barnett has 40 goals and 22 assists, and 37 ground balls for the Rams, who haven't lost since April 14.

Sophomore Jayden Hernando, the third in his family to take faceoffs for Mountain Lakes, is up to 69% at X. The Lakers rolled past Parsippany Regional, 13-6 on Senior Night to return to a MCT quarterfinal. It's just their second win since April 8.

Senior attack Luke Gouse (35g, 24a, 39gb) has won 89% of faceoffs. West Morris' lone loss came against Scotch Plains in the Waterman on April 21. The Wolfpack is set for a MCT quarterfinal rematch against Waterman foe Randolph, who they beat 12-8 on April 2.

Defense stepped up as the top-seeded Green Wave steamed through Mount Olive, 17-0, en route to a MCT quarterfinal, their third straight win. They have not lost to a public school since April 19, 2024 at Westfield.
