Florida State's football schedule reveals key kickoff times, including a 7:30 p.m. ET game against SMU and a 3:30 p.m. ET matchup with Florida. The Seminoles aim to improve after disappointing seasons, starting with a home game against New Mexico State.
Florida State is facing a crucial year as they try to bounce back from consecutive disappointing seasons. Every game will be a must-win in a way, or at least that's how head coach Mike Norvell should approach it.
The Seminoles are known to be seen on the national stage, no matter how their season is going, due to their brand being so strong. Two of their biggest games will be in major time slots. Their second game of the year against the SMU Mustangs will start at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN from Doak Campbell Stadium. When they host the arch-rival Florida Gators the day after Thanksgiving, the game will start at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
FSU starts the season at home against the New Mexico State Aggies in what should be a win. However, they play the Alabama Crimson Tide the week after SMU on the road, making the reality of a possible 1-2 start strong. Florida State will need to come out clicking on all cylinders when SMU comes to town.
The final game of the season for FSU is always against Florida. However, the Gators have won the last two matchups, putting miserable ends to the Seminoles' season. Hopefully, Florida State will be playing to position themselves into a better bowl game when they play Florida, which is something they haven't experienced since 2023.
