Itās another week of the Recruiting Roundup.
The calendar has now turned to April, and teams are hosting many recruits for Junior Days and other unofficial visits. There are also a ton of official visits being scheduled for June, so expect that to be a huge recruiting month for all teams, including those in the Mountain West and Pac-12.
Pac-12 rankings are new this week, with a chance in the top spot.
This week, offers were plentiful, with fourteen teams we track handing out at least one. San Diego State was busy, recording 15 offers over the past week, twice as many as the next team (6 for Wyoming). Commits came in bunches too, with 7 commits from 4 different teams. The Cowboys picked up a pair, but the big story this week was Fresno State. They went on a heater, securing three new verbal commits this week, bringing their total to 4.

Recruiting Calendar:
Starting today and going through mid-April, we are in a quiet period. On-campus contact is permitted, while off-campus contact is limited to text, calls, and DMs.
The NCAA defines the quiet period as a time when āa college coach may not have face-to-face contact with college-bound student-athletes or their parents off the college campus and may not watch student-athletes compete or visit their high school.ā To break it down, the NCAA Quiet Period is a time you can talk to college coaches in-person on their college campus. However, the coach is not allowed to watch athletes compete in-person, visit their school, talk to them at their homeāor talk to them anywhere outside of the college campus. Coaches can still text, call, email or direct message coaches during this time.
Commitment Spotlight:
DT Johnny Fortune (San Diego State)
I chose SDSU because itās the best place for me to develop and compete at a high level. Theyāve been treating me like family from day one, and I know theyāre gonna push me to be my best. It just felt like home.ā
RB Carson James (UTEP)
āI liked what I saw when I went out there, I liked what the coaching staff is doing out there, and Iām super excited to be coached by Coach Ray Pickering.ā
OL Peyton Schuster (Wyoming)
āThe reason I committed to Wyoming is that they make me feel a part of the team, and I believe they will push me and teach me how to be the best player I can be. I also like the coaches; Coach Tripodi has a lot of experience when it comes to working with offensive linemen.ā
DB Karson McKenzie (Wyoming)
āWyoming did a great job recruiting me. They have a great coaching staff, a strong program, and itās close to home.ā
