Former W Series driver and Sky Sports Formula 1 reporter Naomi Schiff has revealed how she is linked to the latest James Bond film, No Time To Die.
In addition to racing in the all-female racing series in 2019 and other series, including the KTM X-Bow GT4, the Clio Cup China Series and the Southern African Formula Volkswagen Championship, Schiff also served as a stunt driver for the James Bond film.
During an interview on the Capital XTRA radio show, Schiff revealed that she stepped in for Lashana Lynch - who portrayed Bond's replacement, Nomi - in her driving scenes in the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera.
"Anytime you see Lashana Lynch in that version of James Bond, it's me in the car," Schiff explained.
"And so that was insane. I didn't have a lot of time to rehearse the actual stunt. They were like, 'Bring in Daniel'. And I was like, 'What do they mean?' And I basically had to stop the car, pretty much at his feet, and I'd done one rehearsal.
"And my palms were sweating, and I was just seeing headlines, like, 'Racing driver kills Daniel Craig'. Thankfully, Daniel Craig is still with us. We didn't kill him."
Schiff added that she managed to secure another stunt driving role from her work on the 007 movie. "I actually ended up booking another job off the back of that, which was for Jurassic World," she concluded.
The 31-year-old moved into broadcasting in 2022. After presenting the Mercedes F1 team car launch alongside Natalie Pinkham in 2022, she was confirmed to join the Sky Sports broadcast team. She is now also a co-presenter of the Up To Speed podcast alongside former F1 driver David Coulthard, former F1 TV presenter Will Buxton and content creator Jolie Sharpe.
