The Boston Celtics' season is over, which means it's time for another long offseason of Jayson Tatum vs. Jaylen Brown debates.
Brown added some fuel to the fire by putting the Celtics on his back in Tatum's absence this year, carrying them to 56 wins and the two seed in the Eastern Conference. Brown also has a better postseason resume with an Eastern Conference Finals MVP and NBA Finals MVP under his belt.
However, the advanced stats are clear that Tatum is a better player than Brown and has a more positive impact on Boston than Brown. Per plus/minus, the Celtics are at their best with Tatum and no Brown, and at their worst with Brown and no Tatum.
Tatum is also younger and a better player in general.
However, that didn't stop Alan Hahn from making an absurd claim about which superstar Boston should keep on Thursday's episode of "Get Up."
Jaylen Brown has an Eastern Conference Finals MVP and an NBA Finals MVP, while Jayson Tatum's postseason accolades are less prominent.
Jaylen Brown led the Celtics to 56 wins and secured the second seed in the Eastern Conference while Tatum was absent.
The debate impacts the Celtics' future strategy and roster decisions, especially after their recent season performance.

Hahn's co-hosts couldn't help but laugh at him as he made his ridiculous argument.
Any serious basketball fan knows that Tatum is the superior option to build around. Before this year, it wouldn't have even been a question.
Tatum has already had four or five years as good as or better than Brown's best season. If Brad Stevens does have to make a hard choice about them this summer, it should be pretty clear.
