Nine different Arizona Wildcats made the various Big 12 Softball all-conference teams. Now the NFCA has weighed in, honoring five of those nine players on the all-region teams.
Senior catcher Sydney Stewart and junior centerfielder Regan Shockey were both named to the NFCA All-West First Team. Senior shortstop Tayler Biehl, senior pitcher Jalen Adams, and sophomore second baseman Sereniti Trice were honored as second teamers.
The honor is one on a laundry list for Stewart. The Big 12 Player of the Year was one of the 25 finalists for USA Softball Player of the Year this season. She was also crowned the Big 12 Batting Champion after posting a league-high .490 average in conference games.
Last year, Stewart was both NFCA All-West First Team and NFCA All-American Second Team. She has been All-Big 12 First Team both seasons at Arizona. As a sophomore at Washington, she was NFCA All-Pacific Third Team.
Shockey has also gotten her share of honors over the past three years. This season, she was Big 12 co-Defensive Player of the Year, All-Big 12 First Team, and Big 12 All-Defensive Team.
In 2025, Shockey was named All-Big 12 Second Team and NFCA All-West Third Team. As a freshman in 2024, she was the only Pac-12 freshman to be one of the 10 finalists for the NFCA Freshman of the Year honor despite not being the Pac-12 Freshman of the Year. Both D1 Softball and Softball America named her a Freshman All-American. She was an NFCA All-West and an All-Pac-12 first teamer. She also made the Pac-12’s All-Freshman and All-Defensive teams.
Sydney Stewart and Regan Shockey were named to the First Team, while Tayler Biehl, Jalen Adams, and Sereniti Trice made the Second Team.
Sydney Stewart is a catcher, Regan Shockey is a centerfielder, Tayler Biehl is a shortstop, Jalen Adams is a pitcher, and Sereniti Trice is a second baseman.
A total of five Arizona Wildcats were recognized by the NFCA for the All-West teams.
