Another NBA Draft Lottery has come and gone, with once again, drama in its wake. With a 14% chance to land the first overall selection, the Brooklyn Nets were awarded the sixth pick.

Now, looking at it from a short-term perspective, it is a really big slide. But looking a little further back, this is an annual occurrence that continues to be a detriment to this franchise.

Since 2010, the Nets have been unable to find themselves inside the top-3 picks of an NBA Draft. 16 seasons and counting, this franchise has missed out on acquiring the next great superstar.

It goes without saying that wherever they picked, superstars were available. Most notably, back in that 2010 draft, they selected Derrick Favors over franchise-changing players like Paul George, DeMarcus Cousins, and Gordon Hayward.
