Newcastle Set Price for Sandro Tonali Transfer: Report

Newcastle United have reportedly decided to put a price tag on Italy international Sandro Tonali, thus making him available for sale at the end of the season.

According to The Mirror, the Magpies have placed a valuation of close to £100million on Sandro Tonali amid growing interest from Premier League rivals.

The report states that Arsenal, Manchester United and Manchester City have all been credited with an interest in the 25-year-old Italy international following a strong campaign at St James’ Park.

“The Italy midfielder, 25, has emerged as a transfer target for some of Newcastle’s domestic rivals after enjoying a fine campaign,” The Mirror reported.

Newcastle want to avoid a prolonged transfer saga similar to last summer’s situation involving Alexander Isak, and are already planning their star sales in advance.

“Newcastle are adamant that transfer interest in Sandro Tonali will not descend into a major saga and want any prospective deal for the Arsenal and Manchester United target done early in the summer,” The Mirror wrote.

The report adds that an exit isn’t set in stone, but it could happen as soon as suitors meet the club’s financial demands.

Newcastle are preparing for a squad overhaul, and truth be told, there will be no excuses to do so considering the likely sales of at least two of Bruno, Tonali, and Anthony Gordon, if not more stars.
