From Vasco da Gama to Dortmund: The young English coach travelling the world
Meet Alex Clapham: The English coach's journey to Borussia Dortmund
Newport County faces Oldham Athletic in a crucial match that could secure their Football League status. Christian Fuchs aims to turn around his team's fortunes after suffering a defeat to Oldham earlier in the season.

When Newport County last faced Oldham Athletic, it marked the beginning of Christian Fuchs' reign as Exiles boss.
Bottom of the League Two table, four points from safety and winless in three, Fuchs was given a reminder of just how difficult a task he faced as Oldham ran out 3-0 winners last November against a depleted Exiles side that looked destined for the drop.
Now, in his final home game of the season, Fuchs has the chance to turn that painful first chapter into a story of survival against the same opponents who inflicted his first managerial defeat.
Victory for Newport on Saturday (15:00 BST) , coupled with defeats for both Barrow at Cambridge United and Harrogate Town at Walsall the same afternoon, would mathematically secure their Football League status.
It would be an achievement Fuchs - a Premier League champion with Leicester City as a player - has already said would rank among the proudest of his career.
But the 40-year-old former Austrian defender is not getting side-tracked by the fairytale-like symmetry that securing survival against the side he first faced would bring.
"It's stories that football tells us, but we're not in a make-a-wish foundation here," said Fuchs.

There were moments this season when survival would have felt close to miraculous.
Newport have spent large portions of the campaign stuck inside the relegation zone, only climbing out for the first time nine games ago.
Sitting one point and one place above the drop with two matches remaining represents real progress from County's dismal start under David Hughes.
"I don't think we're in a situation where we need to look for a Great Escape," Fuchs said when asked to compare this run-in to the famous 2016-17 survival act under former boss Michael Flynn.
"We have everything in our own hands, and we are above the drop zone.
"I don't see it as a Great Escape because they [the players] have worked now over the last months to get above the drop zone, and then now to have it in their own hands is already a big effort that we put in. Now it's about finishing it off."
Newport County must win against Oldham Athletic and hope for defeats from Barrow and Harrogate Town.
The match is scheduled for Saturday at 15:00 BST.
Newport County lost 3-0 to Oldham Athletic in their last encounter last November.
This match is significant for Christian Fuchs as it represents a chance for redemption after his first managerial defeat.

Defeat at Cheltenham Town last weekend was a setback, particularly with Tranmere Rovers claiming their first win in 13 matches in mid-week against the Robins.
That result moved Tranmere to the brink of survival, three points clear of the Welsh club, who are vying for survival for the third consecutive season.
Despite this, Newport remains a point behind Crawley Town and a point ahead of the bottom two, leaving the Exiles firmly the writers of their own destiny knowing six points from six and they could not be caught by the sides below them.
And if things go his side's way, the job could indeed be finished by Saturday evening.
"It's about getting it right, putting on a good performance, making sure that from the first whistle until the last whistle [we give] everything," Fuchs said.

Fuchs says his side will not be side-tracked by events elsewhere on Saturday.
"Its nothing we can affect," said the Austrian.
"The bottom line is that even with the Tranmere game [in midweek] we still have everything in our own hands, and we have a really good opportunity this Saturday.
"We don't think about the other results to be honest, because you cannot affect those it's about what we can do and what we need to do. The only thing we can affect is our performance."
Like Cheltenham, Oldham arrive in south Wales with little tangible to play for - 11th in the table but an unassailable nine points off the play-off places - but Fuchs does not see that as an advantage.
"They can probably play with a lot more freedom now because they're not playing for anything anymore, but everybody always plays for three points. And that's something that has to do with pride," he said.
"I'm expecting an Oldham team that will be up for it, but we will be up for it as well."
Rodney Parade has not proved a fortress this year with County winning just five games on home turf, the joint third-worst record in the league, making the backing of the Amber Army ever more vital for Saturday.
"We need their support as always, and together we can make something good happen," Fuchs said.
Newport will be without striker Nathaniel Opoku, who is sidelined for the remainder of the season with a hamstring injury, while fellow forward Courtney Baker-Richardson remains a doubt.
With two natural number nines a doubt, one of Bobby Kamwa or Michael Spellman could be deployed in a makeshift striking role as Fuchs hinted that they both have "a very important role" to play this weekend.
A tumultuous campaign could reach the conclusion everyone associated with County craves, and Fuchs says belief remains strong amongst the squad.
"We still have it in our own hands," he said. "That's a strong force to have but now it's about giving the answer on the pitch."
Can County survive, or will Fuchs be reminded of the scale of the task he inherited, just as he was in his very first match against the Latics?
