NFL confirms schedule release date for all 32 teams

In what is the biggest event of the NFL calendar in May, we now know when the league is going to release the official schedules for all 32 teams.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Friday that the NFL has revealed the schedule release date as Thursday, May 14.

“NFL has confirmed that the schedule release will be next Thursday, May 14,” Schefter wrote.

There was a rumor floating around that the schedule release could get pushed back past mid-May, but clearly that did not happen here..

Only the NFL could make such a spectacle out of the release of schedules.

Nevertheless, we’ll probably get schedule leaks throughout the day leading up to the official reveal, which usually comes around 8 p.m. eastern time.

NFL Network will drop the schedules for all 32 teams, but every squad announces its schedule on social media.

One of the fun parts about schedule release day is how teams reveal their slate.

It has become custom to do that in creative ways, with some teams opting for a funny video presentation, while others go with a more dramatic approach.

In recent years, teams like the Tennessee Titans and Los Angeles Chargers have stolen the show with their funny schedule release videos.

It has become such a big thing in NFL circles that you’ll see rankings of the best schedule release videos once the dust settles.

While we don’t have the exact dates and times of all games, each team has had its home and away opponents set since the end of last regular season after the divisional standings were final.

So far, we know the regular season will open on Wednesday, Sept. 9, when the Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks will play against a yet-to-be-determined opponent.

On Thursday, Sept. 10, the San Francisco 49ers play against the Los Angeles Rams in Melbourne, Australia.

We also know the Baltimore Ravens will play the Dallas Cowboys in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on Sunday, Sept. 27.

The exact dates of other international games aren’t yet known, but the New Orleans Saints will play in Paris, the Jacksonville Jaguars and Washington Commanders will play play in London, the Detroit Lions are going to Germany, the Atlanta Falcons are going to Madrid, Spain, and the 49ers are heading to Mexico City.

Then there’s the usual suspects — the Lions and Cowboys — that play on Thanksgiving.
