Aaron Wilson of KPRC in Houston is reporting that Arizona State tackle Max Iheanachor visited the Green Bay Packers, along with more than a third of the league, leading up to the draft. It sure seems like Iheanachor, who didn’t start playing football until he walked onto his junior college’s football team, is a popular prospect as the draft approaches.
Bringing in Iheanachor seems significant, since he’s ranked 31st on the consensus draft board. With 28 of the Packers’ 30 visits now reported, Iheanachor is by far the highest-ranked player that Green Bay has brought in. The next-highest ranked prospect is Georgia defensive tackle Christen Miller at #47. It could be possible that if there is a Packers trade-up candidate for next week’s draft, it’ll be Iheanachor. He’s the only prospect that they’ve brought in, at least that we know of, who would sort of fit that mold.
Iheanachor was an All-Big 12 right tackle in 2025 and measured in at 6’6” and 321 pounds at the combine. He also had 34” arms and ran an impressive 4.91-second 40-yard dash, which is special for an offensive lineman his size. He began his college career at East Los Angeles College before transferring to Arizona State. He was a two-year starter for the Sun Devils.
The Packer shave brought in just two other offensive linemen for visits this draft cycle: Ohio State’s Ethan Onianwa and Illinois’ Josh Gesky, who are expected to be undrafted free agents.
