Mike Vrabel is still facing the wrath of NFL viewers after a new report claims that the New England Patriots coach rented a private boat in June 2021 for himself and his alleged mistress, Dianna Russini. The latest accusations come just a month after the Ohio State alum made headlines with the former New York Times reporter after being spotted getting cozy and handsy with each other at a private resort in Arizona.
Vrabel, 50, and Russini, 43, allegedly spent time together on a private boat rental for an entire day in June 2021. At the time, Vrabel was still the head coach of the Tennessee Titans.
According to TMZ Sports, the pair were the only two people on the boat during the rental period, which a source said lasted around three hours.
TMZ Sports published a photo of boat waivers that appear to feature signatures from both Vrabel and Russini.
The insider shared that there was no PDA between the pair and even noted that they both “appeared cautious” about posing for photos with other patrons.
According to TMZ Sports, Vrabel agreed to take a photo with a group of people; however, he reportedly asked them not to publish it online.

NFL fans have already begun reacting to the news online, sharing their unfiltered opinions. Some have even said that the former NFL player will likely be out as the Patriots’ head coach before the start of the season.
“This Vrabel sh-t is getting wild,” a user wrote. “I know it would take a lot, but if this stuff keeps getting uncovered, resignation has got to at LEAST be a discussion, no? The level of distraction this can be is cancerous to teams and locker rooms.”
Another user wrote, “You can actually feel the tide starting to turn on Mike Vrabel right now. The boat rental story hit like a 4th quarter interception to completely change momentum in a game.”
A third posted, “Yeah, he won’t be the coach in Week 1. This story refuses to quit.”

The spotlight has been fixed squarely on Vrabel and Russini since early April 2026, according to a previous report from The Blast, when photos of them at an Arizona resort went viral.
In the pictures, Vrabel and Russini are seen hugging each other and holding hands, while others show the pair lounging by the pool.
A source who reportedly spotted the pair at the resort also claimed they spent a night on the roof of the resort, where pricey, private bungalows are available for rent.
Both Vrabel and Russini denied any wrongdoing after the images were shared online. Vrabel called them “laughable,” while Russini claimed they were there with a group of others. “Like most journalists in the NFL, reporters interact with sources away from stadiums and other venues,” she said at the time.
Weeks later, new photos of the pair striking up conversation and appearing quite comfortable with one another at a Tennessee casino were shared online, per The Blast.
A source shared that there was no PDA between the pair; however, they were stuck to each other like glue the entire night.
It’s unclear exactly how long Vrabel and Russini were there, but the insider claimed they had eyes on the two high-profile personalities for at least half an hour.
Before the 2026 NFL Draft, Vrabel spoke with the media about the allegations and rumors. “I take accountability for my actions and the actions that caused a distraction to the people that I care most about. My family, this football team, the organization, and the fans,” he said.
“My priorities are my family and this football, and in that order,” he said before sharing that he must create “balance” moving forward. “My family needs me this weekend, and that’s where I’ll be.”
Patriots quarterback Drake Maye offered his support to his head coach while speaking with the media, saying he and the rest of the team “love [Vrabel].” According to Maye, “What he does for us, what he’s done for us this past year, you can’t speak into words.”
