NFL schedule 2026: Eagles will face Cowboys on Thanksgiving

The NFL announced on Monday that the Eagles will face the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

The Eagles haven’t played on Thanksgiving since 2015, when they lost to the Detroit Lions, 45-14, at Ford Field. Former Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford and wide receiver Calvin Johnson dominated against Philadelphia’s secondary. After finishing with a 7-9 record that season, Philadelphia fired former head coach Chip Kelly.

Overall, the Eagles have a 6-1 record in Thanksgiving games.

The Eagles beat the Cowboys in 2014 and beat the Cardinals in 2008. Philadelphia also beat Dallas on Thanksgiving in 1989.

The game is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 26, at 4:30 p.m. ET on Fox. This historic NFC East rivalry will be must-see TV.

Philadelphia will hope to beat Dallas for a third time on Thanksgiving. It won’t be easy. The Cowboys improved their defensive talent this offseason and made former Eagles defensive backs coach Christian Parker their new defensive coordinator. Dallas already has one of the league’s most explosive offenses.

With a good defense, the Cowboys could potentially knock off the Eagles.
