The only thing remaining for this portion of the offseason is knowing when all the teams are actually going to be facing off against one another. On Friday morning, the NFL announced the official schedule for the 2026 regular season will be announced on Thursday, March 14th at 8:00 pm Eastern Time. Of course, for those of us on the west coast, it will be 5:00 pm Pacific.
We already know some details. The reigning Super Bowl LX champion Seattle Seahawks will open the season on Wednesday, September 9th on NBC. Seattle will be playing in their first-ever Wednesday night game in franchise history due to the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers facing off down under in Australia, and given the time differences the game will be broadcast on Thursday night.
Additionally, rumors persist via ESPN's Michael Wilbon that the Seahawks will host the Chicago Bears for their Week 1 showdown. Stay tuned to Seahawks Wire for more updates, rumors and potential leaks that will surely come out before Thursday, March 14th rolls around.
