Nick Faldo has defended Rory McIlroy after he received criticism for his behaviour in the final round at The Masters.
A major talking point from last yearâs Masters was McIlroyâs refusal to speak to playing partner Bryson DeChambeau.
A similar situation happened again on Sunday, as McIlroy did not talk to Cameron Young at Augusta National.
Faldo has now rubbished claims that McIlroy did anything wrong on either occasion, using the great Jack Nicklaus as an example.

DeChambeauâs comments about the lack of communication between him and McIlroy went viral this time last year.
Many considered McIlroy to have shown a lack of sportsmanship by not conversing with his playing partner at all.
As a result, Young was asked after the final round on Sunday whether he had shared a similar experience to DeChambeau.
However, Faldo has completely rejected claims that McIlroy did anything wrong in staying in his own lane.
Faldo revealed that six-time Masters champion Nicklaus had no interest in speaking to him in 1990.
âI want to have a little dig at the media,â he said. âWill you please shut up on this: âOh, he didnât talk to him againâ, making a story out of itâŠ
âWe didnât say anything until 18, so please stop all this rubbish.â
Faldo then praised McIlroy with five words that summed up his performance at Augusta National.
He continued, âI think youâve got to marvel and appreciate the skill and the touch neededâŠ
âTalk about the touch and nerve on that putt off the back of 16. He could have holed that on 16. That went awry.
âEven those last three holes, the drama was amazing. As I said, skill, touch, nerve, bravery and determination. Congrats Rory, that was unbelievable.â
