North Carolina 2027 tight end Jaxon Dollar had Notre Dame as one of his finalists along with Miami and Georgia, as the nation’s No. 33 overall prospect in the 247Sports Composite picked the Bulldogs on Thursday. The 6-foot, 5-inch and 222-pounder would have looked great in the Blue and Gold, but unfortunately that won’t be the case.

This is a fairly significant loss for the Irish, as Dollar was their top tight end on the board, and will now have to turn their attention to other prospects. At the current moment, Notre Dame does not have a tight end committed in the 2027 class.

The good news is that if you are the starter for the Irish, you are pretty much assured that you’ll get drafted into the NFL as we just saw Eli Raridon getting taken in the third round by the New England Patriots.
