Okafor double helps Leeds stun Man Utd

Leeds United produced a huge result at Old Trafford as they beat Manchester United 2-1 to move a significant step closer to Premier League safety and claim their first league win at the ground in over four decades.

The visitors made the brighter start and struck early. A dangerous delivery into the area caught United cold, allowing Noah Okafor to guide a composed first-time finish beyond Senne Lammens inside five minutes.

Despite going down to ten men, the hosts kept pushing and finally reduced the deficit when Casemiro turned home Bruno Fernandes’ cross to set up a tense finish.

United threw bodies forward in search of an equaliser, but Leeds held firm to secure a famous win that lifts them six points above relegation zone, while Carrick’s side suffered their first home defeat since his appointment.
