The Oklahoma Sooners need to go after this legacy player very hard, but they also need to remember that there’s still a long way to go until the 2030 recruiting class.
The Oklahoma Sooners are starting to send out a ton of offers for the 2028 recruiting class. They just sent out three QB offers in the class. That seems to be where a lot of their focus is going, even though 2028 is still far away. If you think 2028 is far away, try 2030.
An elite recruit in the 2030 class is already getting offers from major programs, and the best part for OU is that they have an advantage over every other school. This kid is a legacy player, which doesn't always mean they will land him, but Oklahoma will want to land this kid for obvious reasons. On Wednesday, Adrian Peterson Jr. received an offer from Miami. Yes, you read that right, and yes, that should make you feel old.
OU has not yet sent an offer to Peterson Jr., but they need to do so soon. Now that Peterson Jr. got his first major offer, other schools will start to send them in, and send them in fast. He has only three offers: Miami, Baylor, and Missouri State. It's not too early for the Sooners to put in an offer and start building a relationship with Peterson Jr.
Adrian Peterson played at Oklahoma from 2004 to 2006. He finished his stellar college career with 4,045 rushing yards and 41 rushing touchdowns on 747 carries, adding 42 total touchdowns. As a standout freshman, he set records with 1,925 rushing yards and nine consecutive 100-yard games.
Adrian Peterson Jr. is the son of former NFL star Adrian Peterson and is considered a legacy recruit for the Oklahoma Sooners due to his father's history with the program.
The Oklahoma Sooners are currently targeting the 2028 recruiting class while also keeping an eye on elite prospects for the 2030 class.
