Three-star offensive lineman DaJohn Yarborough has named Florida State among his top five schools and set a commitment date for June 27. He cites FSU's tradition, coaching, and competitive environment as key factors in his decision.
Three-star offensive lineman DaJohn Yarborough has been a target of Florida State's since last June when they offered him. However, he's only visited their campus once, which happened back in March.
Depsite this, FSU finds itself it a great spot to land him. The 6-foot-5, 330-pounder pounder has released his top five schools per Rivals, and Florida State is one of them. The other top contenders are California, Mississippi State, Rutgers, and Washington.
Yarborough spoke recently on why the Seminoles are one of his top choices.
Florida State stands out for its tradition, elite coaching, and ability to develop players for the next level. The environment and fan base there is different—it feels big-time every day. I can see myself growing on and off the field in that program and competing at a high level. I also like how consistent they are in competing for championships and being in big games. The standard there pushes players to stay locked in every day. I feel like being around that kind of culture would bring the best out of me and help me reach my full potential as a player and teammate.
Yarborough has also set his commitment date for June 27. He has an official visit locked in with FSU on June 5, giving them one of the final visits before his decision.
Rivals' industry rankings have Yarborough as the No. 404 overall prospect and the No. 31 interior offensive lineman in the 2027 class. He's listed as the No. 8 player in the state of California as well.
