Oklahoma men's basketball has signed center Yaak Yaak from Oregon State. The 6-foot-11 player averaged 6.6 points and 2.2 rebounds last season.
NORMAN — Oklahoma men's basketball started the week by landing another transfer portal big.
Yaak Yaak, a 6-foot-11, 230-pound center, has signed with the Sooners, according to On3's Pete Nakos.
Yaak started nine of the 25 games he appeared in this past season for Oregon State, averaging 6.6 points and 2.2 rebounds over 15.1 minutes per game. Yaak also shot 51% from the field.
Yaak is the second center OU has added via the transfer portal. The Sooners also secured former G-League big Akoldah Gak. Gak is listed at 6-foot-11, 225 pounds.
OU saw Mohamed Wague run out of eligibility and Kuol Atak depart. Atak transferred to Virginia Tech.
The transfer portal is closed, but players who already entered their names in the portal can still transfer to other schools.
