Back in March, after his loss to Rafael dos Anjos, there was a conversation between Dana White and Paddy Pimblett about when heād return.
The UFC president signed off on the Scouserās request to make his comeback during International Fight Week on 11 July in Las Vegas.
In a recent interview, Pimblett confirmed that date is now set while discussing how heās approaching training camp.
āIām just starting [training camp],ā he said on The Wayne Rooney Show. āIām going to be fighting in 12 weeks or something, but Iām just starting my diet now.ā
Pimblett went on to specify that it is indeed 11 July that heās getting ready for.
This means heāll share the card with newly-signed heavyweight prospect Gable Steveson, whoās also making his debut that night.
There are also strong rumours Conor McGregor could finally make his long-awaited return at the same event.
Even without official opponents named yet, those three alone are enough to build plenty of buzz around UFC 329.
Pimblett is expected to face another ranked lightweight upon returning. Names like Benoit Saint-Denis, Dan Hooker and Renato Moicano have all been mentioned as possibilities.
Daniel Rodriguez has also claimed heās agreed to fight Leon Edwards at this event, speaking up following an eight-month stay in a Mexican prison. But nothing official has come out of it yet from either side.
