Paige Bueckers addressed her relationship with Azzi Fudd, stating it's private and not for public discussion. She emphasized that their personal lives do not affect their performance on the court.
Dallas Wings superstar guard Paige Bueckers told reporters on Monday during the team's media day that her and new Wings teammate Azzi Fudd's personal relationship "is nobody's business but our own."
After Dallas blocked a question on Fudd and Bueckers' romantic dynamic -- specifically, were they still dating or not after Bueckers said they were in 2025 --after the 2026 WNBA Draft, Bueckers has given a more direct comment to any speculation about the duo's personal lives off the court.
"What we choose to share is completely up to us," Bueckers said in a statement (see below). "We've never let anything that happens off the court carry onto the court, and that's what we'll continue to do."
Bueckers also threw water on the idea that Dallas drafted Fudd because of the pair's personal connection.
"Azzi Fudd was the No. 1 draft pick because she earned it, and it had nothing to do with me and everything to do with who she is as a human being, who she is the basketball player," Bueckers added.
That should be the most concrete answer we'll get from the two about their off-court relationship.
The team opens the season in Indianapolis against the Fever on Saturday, May 9.
