Paige Shiver said she feared for her life when former Michigan head football coach Sherrone Moore entered her home last December, threatening to kill himself after he was fired when Shiver reported their four-year, extramarital relationship to university officials.
The 32-year-old who worked with Moore as an intern, then an executive assistant for the University of Michigan football program, shared her story on Friday's ABC News Live.
Moore was fired Dec. 10, 2025, after Shiver reported their relationship to UM officials.

Shiver told Linsey Davis of "ABC News Live Prime" that Moore arrived at her apartment less than an hour after he was fired. Shiver said she heard Moore's footsteps and ran to her front door to lock it when Moore forcefully entered.
"And he said, 'You ruined my life. Why would you do this to me?'" Shiver said.
She said she feared for her life.
"I mean, he's 6'4" and he comes in with his hood up, looking down at me, saying I ruined his life, crying," she said.
In an interview that aired earlier Friday, on ABC's "Good Morning America," Shiver said she and Moore had been in a relationship for about four years, beginning when she was an intern and he was the team's offensive coordinator. When he was promoted to head coach, she was promoted to his executive assistant.
Shiver has said the relationship was consensual but marked by manipulation and harassment on the part of Moore and others within the Wolverine football program.

After Moore stormed into her home, she said, he grabbed a butter knife and told Shiver he was going to kill himself and make her watch. He made stabbing motions toward his neck before throwing the knife on the counter and leaving once she got her attorney on the phone.

He was arrested hours later and charged with third-degree home invasion, stalking, and breaking and entering. In March, he reached a deal in which he pleaded no contest to two misdemeanor counts: malicious use of a telecommunications device in the context of a domestic relationship and trespassing.
Moore was sentenced in April to 18 months of probation and ordered to undergo mental health treatment. He was banned from using alcohol, marijuana or illegal drugs, and barred from having contact with Shiver.
Moore's attorney, Ellen Michaels, told ABC that Moore had closed the chapter of his life involving Shiver. Michaels declined to comment to The Detroit News for both Sherrone and his wife, Kelli.
Asked whether she loved Moore during their relationship, Shiver said yes — and no.
"I did, but, obviously, looking back at things and really reflecting on what happened, what was happening, that's not love at all," she told "ABC News Live."
