Paris Mayor Emmanuel GrĂ©goire estimates PSG have a â99.9%â chance of staying at the Parc des Princes
Appearing as a guest on the programme Rothen sâenflamme, broadcast on RMC, the new Mayor of Paris, Emmanuel GrĂ©goire, said he was âreasonably very optimisticâ about Paris Saint-Germainâs takeover of the Parc des Princes.
âIt could be a win-win deal. The club is hugely successful on the pitch and is looking to consolidate its position financially, including in terms of its international image. I very much hope that PSG stays at the Parc des Princes. It would be a shame if they left. I will do everything I can to make it happen,â explained the 48-year-old politician, estimating the chances of reaching an agreement at â99.9%â. âI am prepared to make the necessary efforts to achieve this,â concluded GrĂ©goire.
Statements that come at a time when relations between the City of Paris and PSG are warming, with the club also stating that they are open to discussion. Left unresolved during the tenure of Anne Hidalgo, the former mayor of the French capital, the issue of selling the Parc des Princes to PSG should be debated shortly, with a decision from the clubâs management hoped for and expected in autumn 2026.
Should negotiations break down, the possibility remains that Les Rouge et Bleu could set up base outside Paris, with both Poissy (Yvelines) and Massy (Essonne) having made their moves.
