"I don't have an official timeline," manager A.J. Hinch said before Tuesday's game against the Kansas City Royals at Comerica Park. "I do expect him to be competitive again this season. We're talking about a couple of months, so it's not anytime soon."

"He's already doing better on the concussion side and the stitches side," Hinch said.
In the 2026 season, Meadows has hit .250 with two walks and 10 strikeouts throughout 12 games, registering plus-2 defensive runs saved across 87⅔ innings in center field.
