The New England Patriots have reportedly shown interest in trading for Philadelphia Eagles star receiver A.J. Brown this offseason, and on Monday, executive vice president of player personnel Eliot Wolf answered a question about trade talks for Brown.

"As far as players on other teams, I'm going to keep the door open to anything that we think may improve our roster, whether that's the player you mentioned or other players," Wolf said in a press conference on Monday.

Wolf has had a similar answer every time he's been asked about Brown. On Monday, he was once again asked specifically about the Eagles star and answered with an overarching statement on all trades. The Patriots are open to making a move, but they have reportedly not been willing to meet the Eagles' asking price.

Multiple reports have suggested that the Eagles are looking for a first-round pick and some change for Brown. However, the Patriots may not be willing to pay that price right now. That could change on draft day.

Brown has added fuel to trade rumors with his actions on social media and offseason podcast appearance on "Dudes On Dudes" with Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman. He has a strong relationship with Mike Vrabel as well. If the Patriots are close to picking on draft day, and the board has not fallen to their liking, they could suddenly be more open to trading away their first-rounder.

Brown has already been traded on draft day once in his career. His name is certainly one to watch in the days leading up to the draft, and the Patriots seem like the most likely candidate to trade for him.
