FOXBOROUGH, Mass — For Hunter Henry, he and the rest of the team are aware of the personal situation Mike Vrabel is going through, but he, along with the New England Patriots head coach, is just focused on football.
"Obviously, you know, I know you guys want to hear about everything that's going on, but to be honest with you, we're just focused," he told reporters on Tuesday. "I'm focused on what we got going on right now in this building with this team.
"Obviously had a long season last year, a quick turnaround into the offseason. We're in a new building. So we're trying to build this team. We're trying to come together. So, I'm just focused on the guys in this locker room and trying to build it from the ground up. Again, we have a long journey ahead of us, and we got to start somewhere, so we're starting right now."
Vrabel addressed the situation publicly last week. He revealed that he has conversations with the players, and Henry was also asked about the sentiment of Vrabel's message.
"I thought he did a great job," Henry explained. "It's been the same Vrabes bringing a lot of energy in the room. So, I mean, obviously, he addressed it. That's kind of what I'll say about it."
Controversy surrounding Vrabel began a few weeks back when the New York Post published photos of the head coach with former NFL Insider Dianna Russini holding hands and hugging at the Ambiente in Sedona, Arizona. He initially denied any wrongdoing, calling the photos laughable.
But, the New York Post published new photos, showing the two "all over each other" at a bar in New York City back in 2020. Following the new photos, Vrabel came out, making his second statement in a few days, revealing that he would actually be missing the third day of the 2026 NFL Draft to seek counseling.
Hunter Henry stated that the team is aware of Mike Vrabel's personal situation but is focused on their football activities and building team cohesion.
