Pep shares injury update on Rodri and Khusanov
Pep Guardiola says Rodri and Abdukodir Khusanov are both “better” and that he will decide after training this afternoon whether either are ready to return to action.
The Blues host Crystal Palace on Wednesday evening (20:00 kick off , UK), looking to again reduce the gap to leaders Arsenal to two points.
Rodri has been absent since picking up a muscle injury in the 2-1 win over Arsenal last month.
Meanwhile, Khusanov picked up a knock in the 3-3 draw with Everton and missed last weekend’s 3-0 win over Brentford.
Asked first how Rodri was, the boss said: “Better. We will see in training this afternoon.”
And on Khusanov’s progress, he added: “Better as well. [He took a) tough knock against Beto when he played Everton. He’s better.”
