Peru golfers defeated Lake Placid in a tiebreaker after both teams won three matches each, with a final score of 162-167. Liam Clark led Peru with a score of 35.
PORT KENT — Peru needed to go to a tiebreaker to defeat Lake Placid after the two teams won three matches each in CVAC play Friday.
“It was a great, close match that we won, 162-167, in the tiebreaker,” Peru coach Ryon O'Connell said.
“Liam and Patrick Clark continue to play well this spring. Liam was the low man on the day with a 35, and Patrick added a 36.”
The two Clarks won their matches, along with Paxton Akin for the Nighthawks.
The Blue Bombers got their victories from Carver Bell, Nolan Clark and Torin Fadden. Bell carded a 39 in the No. 1 spot for the low score on his team. Nolan Clark added a 41 and Fadden a 43.
