The Philadelphia Phillies have enjoyed a surge under their new manager and some personnel tweaks could be key to keeping that momentum going.
On Tuesday, news broke that the team had signed Dylan Carlson shortly after he left the Chicago Cubs in an effort to stave off a potential shortage in center field.
âDesperate for outfield depth, the Phillies signed switch-hitting Dylan Carlson to a minor-league contract and sent him to Triple-A,â according to The Philadelphia Inquirerâs Scott Lauber. âThe Phillies are dangerously thin, especially in center field. With Johan Rojas serving an 80-game suspension for failing a drug test, the Triple-A outfield consists of Steward Berroa, Bryan De La Cruz, utility man Otto Kemp, and now, Carlson.â
