The Detroit Pistons have had one of the greatest turnarounds in the NBA, going from one of the worst teams of all time a couple years ago to the first seed in the Eastern Conference with a record of 60-22. All thanks to their coach J.B. Bickerstaff, and their face of the franchise, Cade Cunningham.
However, they do have one kryptonite; they donāt have a true second scoring option to help Cunningham. Bleacher Reportās Greg Swartz urges the Pistons to fix that by making a trade this offseason for someone theyāve been linked to previously in Brooklyn Nets star Michael Porter Jr.

The trade would look like this:
Pistons get: F Michael Porter Jr.
Nets get: F Ron Holland II, C Isaiah Stewart, G/F Caris LeVert, 2026 first-round pick (projected No. 21 overall)
āThe Pistons have officially locked up the No. 1 seed in the East, although this is still just the fourth-best offense in the conference. This team could use a little more juice, especially a big forward who can shoot the lights out. This sounds a lot like Porter, who should be widely available from the rebuilding Nets this summerā¦A starting five featuring Cade Cunningham, Duncan Robinson, Ausar Thompson, Porter and Jalen Duren would be a tremendous blend of scoring, playmaking, defense and rebounding, putting the Pistons in line for another run at the No. 1 seed, this time with an even better offense,ā Swartz wrote.

This season, Porter averaged 24.2 points, 7.1 rebounds, three assists, and 1.1 steals in 32.5 minutes per game. He would see a little dip in scoring since he was the first option on the Nets, but he would still bring 20+ PPG on a career 50% from the field and 40% from deep.
If the Pistons donāt make the ECF, this is a trade they need to consider. It would give them a Big Three of Cunningham, Jalen Duren and Porter, and make them a true top contender in the NBA.
