The Denver Broncos have what they feel is one of the best rosters in the NFL heading into the 2026 season.
The team made few changes to its core this offseason, a key indicator that head coach Sean Payton and the front office believe the team is close and has what it takes to win it all. This is likely based on the same belief held by the fanbase that if Bo Nix doesn't break his ankle in the divisional round last year, the Broncos go to the Super Bowl and have a chance to win it.
This offseason, the goal has been to keep the glue of the team intact, re-signing just about every player who had an expiring contract before using the draft to plug any potential holes.
Former NFL Network host Kay Adams, who now hosts her own show "Up and Adams" for the Fanduel TV Network, had major praise for the Broncos earlier this week. While discussing the 9.5 wins that Fanduel Sportsbook has put on the Broncos this season, Adams had this to say:
"They're returning all their starters, all of them. Jaylen Waddle, huge add, in the mix. I don't think we've seen what he can do. I don't think we've quite seen him cook the way that he can. And now that he's got Sean Payton dialing stuff up. He's not calling plays, at least to start the year, but he's definitely in the lab, figuring out how to use him, and so on.

The Broncos retained their core players to maintain team cohesion and build on their potential to win a championship.
Bo Nix's ankle injury in the divisional round last year is believed to have cost the Broncos a chance to reach the Super Bowl.

They have 10 of 11 starters back on defense and all they've done is just get deeper and deeper across the board and I've said it before, this is the most complete roster, top to bottom, in the NFL. Give me the reason why this team isn't winning 10 games"
That is a bold statement from Adams and one that is quick to find its way to detractors. Critics will point to the Broncos having to play a first-place schedule in 2026, along with all of the one-score games the team won last season, as reasons not to believe in this year's Broncos.
However, in a league where major roster turnover is the norm, the approach of this year's Broncos team is easy to get behind.
