Butler baseball defeated Troy 9-5 in a battle of unbeaten Miami Valley League squads on Monday, April 13.
Troy jumped out to an early 2-0 lead but Butler battled back. In the fifth inning Jackson Schilling lined a bases-clearing double to stake a 6-5 lead that Butler would hold onto.
Schilling also cut down two Troy baserunners with throw-outs from the catcher position.
Butler improved to 9-0, Troy dropped to 8-1 and the teams are set to run it back on Tuesday, April 14 at Day Air Ballpark.

Beavercreek 7, Northmont 2: Andrew Oppenheimer hit a home run and ‘Creek won its seventh straight game to improve to 8-1.
Centerville 6, Springfield 1: Ryan Sidwell tossed six shutout innings, Joey Kristbaum plated a pair of runs and Centerville won a fifth straight game.
Springboro 10, Fairmont 0: Jacob Rhinehart doubled and drove in three runs, Ben Veletean and Ian Vaughn added two RBI apiece and ‘Boro won at Fairmont for the first time since 2021.
Lakota East 4, Fairfield 3: Aidan Sullivan singled in the tying run in the sixth inning then came around to score the go-ahead run on a sac-fly to lead East.
Lakota West 14, Colerain 5: Owen Herring, Braydon Johnson and Wyatt Soles each clubbed a home run to lead Lakota West.
Tippecanoe 19, Greenville 3: Ethan Harney homered and brought in four runs, Danny Browarsky added three RBI and Tipp won its eighth straight game.
Piqua 1, West Carrollton 0: Andon Laughman pushed across Aydan Hare for the lone run and Lukah Branam struck out 12 in the complete-game shutout to pace Piqua.
Sidney 4, Xenia 3: Brooks Taylor batted in the game-winning run to complete the rally win for Sidney.
Fairborn 6, Stebbins 5: The win turned around a four-game losing skid for Fairborn.
Ben Logan 4, Graham 2: Adam Tinsman popped a pair of doubles and Micah Gregg had a three-hit day for Ben Logan.
Badin 10, Chaminade Julienne 0: Derek Ogden doubled and drove in two runs and Jeremiah Carmella added two RBI to help Badin win its GCLC opener.
Alter 5, Carroll 1: Grant Mouse knocked two hits, one of them a home run, to help Alter win its GCLC opener.
Middletown Madison 7, Waynesville 6: Caden Johnson and Brandon Ashley each doubled and drove in a run and Madison moved to 4-0 in the SWBL.
Carlisle 10, Oakwood 1: Elijah Dobbins lifted a pair of home runs at the plate along with striking out 10 over six innings on the mound to pace Carlisle.
Eaton 8, Brookville 4: Chase Overholtz knocked in five runs and Evan Seider struck out 13 to earn the win for Eaton.
Valley View 10, Dayton Christian 1: Sam Berry accounted for two doubles, a triple and three RBI in leading Valley View.
Tri-County North 10, Legacy Christian 0: Koby Reynolds pitched the first no-hitter for TCN since 2013.
Mississinawa Valley 18, Union City (IN) 1: Caleb Spradling launched a home run and Caden Hanes had three hits with four RBI to lead Mississinawa.
Mechanicsburg 8, Northeastern 3: Eli Wilson hit a triple, a homer and plated three runs for Mechanicsburg, which improved to 7-0.
Cedarville 12, Greeneview 6: Cooper Hardy, Xavier Pauling and Maddox Rodgers tallied two RBI apiece and Cedarville bumped to 4-0 in the OHC.
Russia 12, Houston 0: Maddox Goubeaux struck out 12 of the 15 batters he faced in a five-inning perfect game for Russia.
Fort Loramie 13, Anna 4: Lucas Brandewie, Jace Ruhenkamp, Carson Arnold, Dylan Meyer and Chase Bornhorst each tallied three hits for Fort Loramie.
Delphos St. John’s 3, Kalida 0: Colton Clark tossed a two-hit shutout, Cam Elwer doubled and brought home two runs and DSJ improved to 6-0.
Coldwater 5, Jay County (IN) 4: Cadin Obringer knocked in the game-winning run for Coldwater in the eighth inning.
Minster 18, Covington 9: Hayden Linn went 4-for-5 with a double and six RBI to pace Minster.

Piqua 17, West Carrollton 0: Emilee Shulz and Taylor Tevis combined on the shutout and Athena Duff tallied four hits with four RBI for Piqua.
Springfield Shawnee 9, Northwestern 7: Nicole Greene smashed two doubles and drove in two runs, Olivia Hart added a double with two RBI and Shawnee moved to 13-0.
Kenton Ridge 13, Bellefontaine 1: Brenna Fyffe homered twice and Bailey Myers added a solo shot to help Kenton Ridge improve to 11-0.
Ben Logan 15, Graham 0: Adilynne Gregg punched out 10 over five shutout innings along with tripling and knocking in seven runs to pace Ben Logan.

Clinton-Massie 7, Batavia 6: Kylie Chavez delivered the game-winning hit in the bottom of the ninth inning for Clinton-Massie.
Botkins 6, Jackson Center 1: Madison Loy struck out 10 to earn the win in the circle and Kambree Walters blasted a home run to lead Botkins.
Anna 6, Fort Loramie 2: Marlie McLain swatted a home run to lead Anna.
Parkway 5, South Adams (IN) 0: Bryn Schoenleben tossed a one-hit shutout with nine strikeouts and Parkway improved to 11-0.
