Goshen 7, Warsaw 3
Goshen won its third straight game and remained at the top of the NLC with a win at Warsaw. The RedHawks scored a run in the first inning and added three more in the third to take a 4-0 lead before gaining a 7-1 advantage after six frames. Bryson Wilson commanded on the bump, throwing six innings and allowing one run off nine hits and striking out a pair. Braxton Cline and Jaxon Miller both had multi-hit games, combining for three runs driven in. Goshen improves to 12-4, 8-1 NLC.
Fairfield 4, Elkhart Christian 2
Fairfield struggled to get by but still rallied to earn a win over Elkhart Christian in Benton Friday. The Falcons trailed 2-0 midway through the third inning before plating a run in the next four innings. Grady Chupp was 3-of-3 at the plate while Drew Tobias, Grady Garber and Lucas Miller drove in runs for the hosts. Fairfield is now 6-11.
Northridge 6, NorthWood 5

Mishawaka 12, Wawasee 0 (5 inn.)
Wawasee allowed nine runs in the fifth inning and couldn’t score in the bottom half of the fifth inning in a run-rule loss to Mishawaka. The Warriors tallied three hits and five errors as a group. Wawasee is now 2-11, 1-8 NLC.
SOFTBALL
Plymouth 15, Concord 6
Eleven runs in the first inning allowed Plymouth to pull away from Concord in a rough outing for the Minutemen on the road. Of the nine runs Allison Ralston allowed in just 1/3 innings, none were earned as seven Concord errors contributed to the chaos. Cheyenne Collins was 2-of-3 at the plate, driving in three runs and scoring two herself while hitting a home run. Serina Masuth also homered for the visitors. Concord is now 5-11, 3-6 NLC.
Warsaw 8, Goshen 7
Warsaw walked off Goshen Friday afternoon. The Tigers scored six runs in the third inning before Goshen tied the game in the seventh with a pair of runs. Emily Diaz and Abby Snyder each earned multiple hits for the RedHawks with three each. Dyllan Kincaid finished with two hits, including one home run. Goshen is now 3-12, 2-7 NLC.
Northridge 12, NorthWood 6
Northridge won its fifth game in its last six outings with a win over NorthWood Friday in Nappanee. The Raiders scored in all but one inning and out-hit the Panthers 11-9 while committing four errors to the host’s two. Rachel Humbarger drove in three runs in as did teammate Leighla Winchester, who homered and also earned the win in the circle. Northridge is now 9-5, 6-3 NLC while NorthWood slumps to 5-13, 1-8 NLC.

Westview scored four runs in the sixth inning and held Jimtown to just four hits in a win over the Jimmies in Baugo. Breanna Garrett and Janissa Lehman each had two hits for the Warriors while Briana Kaufman drove in two runners. Garrett earned the win on the mound, throwing 5 1/3 innings and allowing two earned runs on three hits and nine walks while striking out five. Westview is now 7-3.

Northridge picked up two wins over Mishawaka and NorthWood on Friday at Eberhart GC. Cooper Kropf won medalist honors for the Raiders with a score of 37. Behind him for Northridge was Kaden Miller (40), Brady Riegsecker (40) and Owen Kaehr (40). NorthWood’s team score included Dawson Yoder (41), Tyler Mathews (43), Colton Rouch (44) and Caleb Vincent (45). Northridge improves to 5-1, 3-1 NLC while NorthWood drops to 3-4, 2-2 NLC.

Westview 5, Bethany Christian 0
Westview stayed undefeated against a tough Bethany Christian team Friday in Emma. Winning for the Warriors were Kristen Bender (1S: 6-0, 6-1), Camryn Christner (2S: 6-3, 7-5), Karleen Bender (3S: 4-6, 6-1, 7-5), Lanita Mast and Miley Mast (1D: 7-6 (6-1), 1-6, 7-5) and Ava and Alayah Hostetler (2D: 1-6, 6-4, 6-2). Westview is now 9-0 while Bethany Christian drops to 6-3.

Goshen lost to a good Plymouth team Friday. Winning for the RedHawks were Layla Evans and Hannah Rheinheimer at No. 2 doubles 6-2, 3-6, 6-2. Goshen is now 5-4, 4-2 NLC.

Bethany Christian participated in the Dennis Rippy Invite at John Glenn Friday evening. Notable placements for the Bruins included Benji Fleming finishing third in the 800-meter run and Toby Mast placing third in the 110-meter hurdles.

Westview placed fifth and Fairfield was eighth at the NECC Championship Friday evening at Angola. Local event winners included Noah Bontrager in the 1,600- and 3,200-meter run.

Bethany Christian participated in the Dennis Rippy Invite at John Glenn Friday evening. Notable placements for the Bruins included Kendra Kern finishing third in the 400-meter dash and Mae Melvan winning the high jump with a height of 4’8”.

Fairfield claimed the NECC title with a win in the conference meet Friday while Westview finished ninth. The Falcons placed first in four events, led by Emma Walters titles in the 100- and 200-meter dash. Walter’s time of 12.18 set the new NECC record in the event. Claira Foust won the high jump with a height of 5’5” while Shelby Miller and Joya Holsopple claimed the top two spots in pole vault with Miller reached 11-feet.
