Under contract with Tottenham until 2030, Pape Matar Sarr will leave Spurs for certain if the club is relegated to the Championship. Several big clubs want to recruit him, including PSG, which has made inquiries about the case.
Recruited by Tottenham from FC Metz for 17 million euros in 2022, Sarr, 23, very quickly demonstrated that he had the level for the Premier League. The Senegalese international established himself as an important player for Spurs, even if this 2025-2026 season is more complicated for the midfielder.
Like his team, Sarr has had some difficulties. The Senegalese may have reached the end of his story with Spurs, and a departure during the next transfer window seems to be taking shape, even more so in the event of relegation to the Championship.
According to Caughtoffside, several big European clubs have already expressed interest in recruiting the former FC Metz defensive midfielder next summer. A source close to the case notably told the British media outlet that Paris Saint-Germain was interested, as was Bayern Munich.
"Sarr's value continues to rise, and a departure this summer is entirely possible, whether his team is relegated or not. Real Madrid, PSG, and Bayern Munich are all big admirers of the player, and an offer around 50 million pounds (57 million euros) would probably be enough," a source close to the case said. Internally, the Tottenham club is nonetheless sending a clear message: Sarr is not for sale.

Tottenham's new coach, Roberto De Zerbi, is counting on the Senegalese international for next season, whether in the Premier League or the Championship. In practice, it will nonetheless be very difficult to keep the 23-year-old player in the event of an offer from Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, or PSG.
The outlet reports that Sarr's agents are focused on the transfer window and are currently seeking the best solution for the player's future. The Spurs midfielder, for his part, remains focused for now on the end of the season with Tottenham. With one huge objective in mind: helping keep Spurs in the Premier League, a mission far from accomplished, as the London club is currently 18th in the league.
