PSG to face Bayern Munich in the Champions League semi-finals
PSG will face Bayern Munich in the Champions League semi-finals after the Bundesliga side eliminated Real Madrid tonight at Munichâs Allianz Arena. Arda GĂŒler opened the scoring inside a minute with a long-range chip after an unlikely blunder from Manuel Neuer.
GĂŒlerâs stroke of genius set the tone for a gung-ho five-goal first half with Aleksandar Pavlovic, GĂŒler again, Harry Kane and Kylian MbappĂ© all on the scoresheet with both sides on equal terms on aggregate (4-4) following last weekâs 2-1 away win to Bayern Munich. In the second half, Real Madrid substitute Eduardo Camavinga was sent off after a succession of two yellow cards in eight minutes.
Three minutes after Camavingaâs dismissal, Luis Diaz and Jamal Musiala combined for the Colombian international to rifle a right-footer dagger into the Real Madrid net, edging Bayern Munich back into aggregate lead (5-4). Michael Olise doubled Munichâs lead with a neatly-taken curler in injury-time.
Bayern Munich and PSG will then meet for the Champions League semi-finals. Luis Enriqueâs Les Parisienswill host the Rekordmeister on Tuesday, April 14 before the return leg at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday, May 6.
