We are continuing our series of three full Las Vegas Raidersā mock draft. First, we offered a no-trade mock, Today, we have a big trade up. and another with a second-round trade down. Both of these mocks may have additional trades, both up and down. Full disclosure: Some players may appear on multiple mocks as we try to exercise our way up to draft day Thursday:
Letās get it done:
First round
No. 1: Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza.
No reason to get silly here. Mendoza is the pick. Now, letās see if he can be a franchise-altering choice.
TRADE: Raiders send No. 36, 67, 117 to Dallas Cowboys for No. 20.
No. 20 Indiana wide receiver Omar Cooper
It most a lot, but the Raiders strike big for a potential star wide receiver and they give Mendoza a big welcome gift in the from of his college teammate.
Fourth round:
102: Florida State defensive tackle Darrell Jackson
The Raidersā post-trade is over and they fill a need at defensive tackle.
134: LSU linebacker Harold Perkins
The Raiders spend big on linebacker sin free agency, but can use some youth here.
The trade up indicates the Raiders' intent to secure a higher pick to target key players they believe can enhance their roster.

175: Kansas State safety VJ Payne
The Raiders could go for a safety early, but Payne is a nice value here and a player who could develop into a starter.
Sixth round:
185: North Carolina cornerback Thaddeus Dixon
Had the Raidersā not made the trade, this is a position they could have addressed earlier.
211: Clemson running back Adam Randall:
A new backup for Ashton Jeanty. They can grow together.
Seventh round:
More safety depth to round out the draft class.
Conclusion:
Honestly, Iām not sure how much I love this mock and thatās why we do these exercises. The good news is they get to top 20 picks and Mendoza and Cooper could be a special tandem, so thatā positive, but this trade guts the heart of the Raidersā draft. They have a lot of needs and this trade disrupts it. But again, there is a huge splash that may pay off big.
