The Los Angeles Rams are considering a trade that would send a first-round pick to the Philadelphia Eagles for a $96 million star player. This move aims to enhance their already strong receiving corps, which includes Puka Nacua and Davante Adams.

The Los Angeles Rams possess one of the most dynamic receiving rooms in the NFL.
Puka Nacua and Davante Adams joined forces for the first time in 2025-26 (Nacua was already a member of the organization, and Adams signed a two-year deal with Los Angeles last March), and the elite tandem was a force to be reckoned with all season.
Nacua finished the year with 129 receptions for 1,715 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns, while Adams accumulated 60 receptions for 789 yards and 14 touchdowns. Needless to say, the WR position is a strong suit for a Rams franchise that reached the NFC championship game.
That said, Bleacher Report’s Gary Davenport believes that the Rams could form an unstoppable trio in 2026-27 by trading a first-round pick to the Philadelphia Eagles for a 28-year-old star.
“In what you'll soon notice is a theme with players who could be on the move soon, Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie told reporters that the team isn't actively shopping the 28-year-old (A.J. Brown), who had 78 catches for 1,003 yards and seven touchdowns in 2025,” Davenport wrote Friday.
“However, that hasn't stopped the talk, especially with ESPN's Adam Schefter reporting the Eagles and Los Angeles Rams were close to a deal for Brown. Brown is a proven, productive commodity. In seven NFL seasons, he has hit 1,000 yards six times. His price tag would likely be a first-rounder, an additional pick, and maybe a player.”
“So if a deal is coming, it probably will not happen until later this summer (Davenport concluded the section by naming the Eagles and Lions as potential trade suitors for Brown).”
As noted before, the Rams don’t necessarily need to acquire Brown this offseason to enjoy a successful 2026-27 campaign, considering they already possess a stable receiving foundation.
That said, if a trade featuring Brown becomes too alluring for Los Angeles to pass on, an NFL-altering transaction could occur later this summer. Though Brown didn’t have his best season in Philadelphia last season, his masterful downfield playmaking ability and advantageous strength enabled him to record 78 receptions for 1,003 yards and seven touchdowns in 15 games.
Keep an eye out for a potential Brown-Rams pairing this offseason.
