The NFL Draft is entering its final day, with the Los Angeles Rams still holding several picks. Surprisingly, they have not made any trades up or down so far.

Day 1 and 2 of the NFL Draft are in the books and we are on to Day 3. Are you ready? Are the Los Angeles Rams ready? Theyâve got a few picks left, but so far, they havenât made a trade up or down, and thatâs somewhat surprising given how the Rams and Les Snead typically operate.
I am sure when the draft is done, weâll spend time talking about our thoughts, and what couldâve been different, better and or what we liked, or didnât like (canât imagine what people didnât like, hehe). For me, the Ty Simpson pick was a surprise, but the Rams so often surprise that I was a little numb to that specific pick. Surprised a bit, yes? Shocked, I donât know about that.
I am more surprised the Rams havenât moved up or down, yet.
Hereâs the other piece, yes, the Rams do get some things wrong, but Snead and Sean McVay have been right more often than not, so if they are picking someone, I trust their choice.
For now, I think the Rams are on the right path. Path to a win a Super Bowl? Thatâs so hard, but are the Rams on a path to be competitive? I sure think so.
Even if Matthew Stafford were to miss time, they have a player behind him that fans should be excited about, and I donât think they were going to get that at this point, outside of the draft. Thatâs not a bad thing.
The Los Angeles Rams have a few picks remaining as the draft enters its final day.
It is surprising that the Rams have not moved up or down in the draft, as this is not typical for their operations under Les Snead.
Ty Simpson was noted as a surprising pick for the Rams during the draft.
The final day of the 2026 NFL Draft is currently underway, following the completion of Days 1 and 2.

âThe Rams drafted Simpson at No. 13 on Thursday night, and McVayâs brief responses to questions and overall body language led to some speculation that he was unhappy with the Ramsâ pick.
âAlways want to be mindful of how things come off, things like that,â McVay said. âVery excited about last night, very excited about today and couldnât be more excited about us continuing to lead together, but every decision that we make is collective and collaborative.â
âSpeaking in a clip shared by Arash Markazi, Simpson shared that his first outreach came from Kelly Stafford rather than the Rams quarterback.
âKelly has actually texted me on Instagram and welcomed me and told me to hit her up if we need anything but I canât wait to talk to Matthew.
âIâm super ecstatic because I just want to pick his brain,â Simpson said.
The moment stands out because it highlights how quickly Simpson has been embraced, even before officially stepping into the building. It also reflects the kind of environment the Rams have built around their veteran quarterback.â
âIf Ty Simpson can actually win us more Superbowls after Stafford hangs it up, this pick will look like a complete masterclass and we will shove all of this complaining in the garbage. But if Ty Simpson busts really hard, then we will be whining and complaining even more.â -Leowaterhunteralt
