Manchester City are set to part ways with veteran midfielder and club captain Bernardo Silva at the end of the ongoing season.
The Portuguese midfielder has been at the club for nearly a decade, but has now decided to move on when his contract expires on 30 June.
Having already made the announcement to leave, Silva is now looking for his next destination, with his agent, Jorge Mendes, offering him to clubs.
In that context, AS reports that Mendes has offered the services of Bernardo Silva to Real Madrid, as well as their arch-rivals FC Barcelona.
Silva believes that both his body and mind are still prepared for the demands of top-level competition, and his objective is to remain at the highest level.

For that reason, he has considered the possibility of joining Real Madrid for the 2026/27 season, with Mendes putting his name on the Merengues’ table.
However, Real Madrid have no intention of acting on the approach and do not plan to sign the Portuguese international.

The Merengues have seen Silva closely in the numerous encounters that they have had against Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League in recent years. And they hold great appreciation for his quality and experience.
However, the former AS Monaco ace does not feature in Real Madrid’s plans for the summer, with their sights set on a different player from Manchester City in the form of Rodri.
