According to a report from GiveMeSport senior football correspondent Ben Jacobs (@iMiaSanMia), Newcastle United attacker Anthony Gordon has already touched base with Bayern Munich star Harry Kane about a potential transfer to Bavaria this summer:
Sources reveal that Anthony Gordon has already spoken to Harry Kane about FC Bayern. Gordon is open to a move to the Bundesliga, even though a starting spot is by no means guaranteed due to Luis Díaz’s form. Bayern value Gordon at £55m (€63m), a number Newcastle insiders claim they won’t entertain. After all, Gordon is contracted until 2030 and has no release clause in his contract. Bayern are now set to begin formal talks with Gordon before potentially making an approach to Newcastle.
If true, this could be a good sign for the Bavarians, who seem prepared to plunk down a hefty transfer fee to bring the 25-year-old Englishman to tr the Bundesliga. If Kane can help be a part of the pursuit team, it definitely cannot hurt Bayern Munich’s pitch and could grease the pathway for Gordon to make a final decision and then allow the clubs to work out a deal.
