During free agency, a source says the Rams made overtures to sign free agent quarterback Joe Flacco, who ultimately returned to Cincinnati on a one-year deal.
Flacco is an 18-year NFL veteran who has spent the last six seasons operating as a premier backup, starting 30 games over that time. That included a 4-1 run with the Cleveland Browns in 2023 that launched the franchise into the playoffs, with Flacco winning NFL Comeback Player of the Year.
Flacco started six games for the injured Joe Burrow last season, going 1-5 with the Bengals.
