Before his time in Philadelphia came to an end, Morey attempted to trade for multiple players, with one of them being a member of the Warriors.
According to Adam Aronson of The Philly Voice, Morey and the Sixers unsuccessfully attempted to trade for Warriors third-year guard Brandin Podziemski. Along with Podziemski, the Sixers also made trade offers for Dallas Mavericks forward Naji Marshall, Minnesota Timberwolves guard Donte DiVincenzo and Phoenix Suns wing Ryan Dunn, per .

It's still unclear what the Sixers were offering the Warriors for their former first-round pick. The Sixers ended up going through the NBA trade deadline without making a significant move.
Podziemski just wrapped up his third season in the association, playing in all 82 games. The former Santa Clara Bronco averaged 13.8 points on 45.5% shooting from the field with 37.1% shooting from beyond the arc to go along with 5.1 rebounds and 3.7 assists per contest.
