Georgia Bulldogs guard Jeremiah Wilkinson announced that he will be transferring to Arkansas earlier this week, despite garnering interest from Kentucky.
Wilkinson was one of the top scorers in the SEC last season, averaging over 17 points per game at Georgia while shooting 41% from the field and almost 36% from 3-point range. In his lone matchup against Kentucky this past season, Wilkinson finished with 19 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists as the Bulldogs secured a big victory at Rupp Arena.
But could Wilkinson have been playing at Kentucky next season?
Jeff Goodman from Field of 68 said there is a belief Wilkinson was very interested in the Wildcats.
There wasn’t a whole lotta buzz linking Kentucky and Wilkinson, so this is an interesting statement by Goodman as the Wildcats search for more backcourt options after landing Washington point guard Zoom Diallo.
