Rory McIlroy's daughter had a hilarious reaction when her dad called her out for the real reason she loves the Masters.

After winning his first Masters tournament, the pro golfer, 36, spoke about his 5-year-old daughter Poppy, whom he shares with wife Erica Stoll. In a clip shared by CBS Sports on TikTok, McIlroy joked that his daughter might have ulterior motives for attending the event.

“This has definitely turned into Poppy’s favorite week of the year," McIlroy revealed. "I don’t know if it’s because of the Par 3 tournament or it’s all you can eat ice cream in the player services building.”

Upon hearing her dad's comments, Poppy hilariously shook her head and covered her face with her hand.

Last April, during the 2025 Masters, McIlroy shared during a press conference that his daughter Poppy was beginning to realize she didn't have the average dad. McIlroy shared that while it's "really cool" he can now share this with his daughter, it's also "a little scary" at the same time.

"I think it was the first time that she sort of realized what I did, which was really cool [and] also a little scary at the same time,” he said. “It’s amazing that I can share these things with her and with Erica."

"The day after the Players, she went into school, and there’s a couple of kids that had said some stuff to her, and she came home to me that day and said, ‘Daddy, are you famous?’ And, I said ‘It depends who you talk to,’ " he shared. "So, it’s a bit of a double-edged sword. You have to temper the expectations sometimes, but she’s … an amazing addition to life and it’s great that she’s here this week."

That same weekend, Poppy showed off her golfing skills. After she hit the golf ball, it slowly made its way into the hole, earning her a loud cheer from the crowd and a big hug from her dad.

The official ESPN X account posted the footage of the impressive putt, adding the caption, "Perfect speed on the putt from Rory McIlroy's daughter Poppy 🙌 #themasters."

After welcoming his daughter Poppy with Stoll, McIlroy spoke with Golfweek about becoming a dad, describing the experience as "amazing."

"You feel like you get to know your baby while she’s still in her mother’s belly, but to go from not having met this person to having unconditional love for them, there’s nothing like it in the world," McIloy told the outlet. “It’s probably the best part of being a human being, and I’m glad that I got to experience it.”
