Denver wanted to get rid of him so bad that it took on a record-breaking dead-money hit to do so.
Over the last two seasons, Wilson has played with the Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Giants, but itâs very clear he has declined considerably.
Wilson started in 11 games for the Steelers in 2024 after returning from injury, but Pittsburghâs offense was awful.
Then, in 2025, Wilson didnât make it past three starts with the Giants before he was benched for Jaxson Dart. New York decided not to bring him back for 2026.

Things have been quiet on the Wilson front this offseason and it doesnât seem there are many teams interested in his services.
One team that is interested is the New York Jets, who brought Wilson in for a visit recently.
The Jets already have a starting quarterback in Geno Smith, so Wilson would be the teamâs backup. New York also selected Cade Klubnik in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Wilson is very well-spoken and has plenty of football knowledge, so itâs not hard to see why networks want him.
Weâve gotten a good dose of Wilson in the studio thanks to his multiple appearances on CBS in recent years.
By all accounts, Wilsonâs appearances were well-received and he should be an excellent analyst once he decides to fully take the dive.
