Saranac Spartans dominated their meet against the Cougars, with 12 athletes winning multiple events. Key performers included Matt Canning, Sean Dormann, and Nora Mesec.
SARANAC — The Spartans continued to look strong in their meet against the Cougars on Monday.
Saranac had a total of 12 athletes win multiple events.
Matt Canning, Sean Dormann and Noah Thayer led the boys, grabbing wins in the 4x400 and individually in the 400, 3,200 and 800, respectively.
Carson Duffield wrapped up the throws in the discus and shot put.
The girls' 4x400 members were all mutli-event winners. They were led by Nora Mesec, who also won the 800 and was on the winning 4x800 relay team.
Brooke Hanson got her second win in the 4x800. Sienna Boulds won the 400, and Laura Denail won the 1,500.
Molly Thayer joined Hanson and Mesec on the 4x800 and won the 3,000.
Eve Liberty and Emma Ranger were half of the 4x100 relay, with Liberty’s second win coming in the 100 and Ranger’s in the 200.
Libby Wynnik won the 100 hurdles and triple jump.

SARANAC LAKE — Beekmantown took care of business in its meet against Saranac Lake as the Eagles grabbed wins in the track meet.
No results for the girls’ meet were reported.
Matt Canning, Sean Dormann, Noah Thayer, and Nora Mesec were among the athletes who won multiple events.
Matt Canning won the 400 and was part of the winning 4x400 relay, while Sean Dormann won the 3,200 and was also part of the 4x400 relay.
The Saranac girls' 4x400 team consisted of multi-event winners, led by Nora Mesec, who also won the 800 and participated in the winning 4x800 relay.

On the boys’ side, Henry Kapp led the way with three wins. He won the 100, 200 and was on the 4x100 relay.
Derrick LaPlante joined Kapp on the 4x100 and won the triple jump.
Nolan Laidman tripled, as well, winning the 1,500, 3,000 and being on the 4x800 relay team.
