Scott Peters expects total domination from Amarius Mims this year

The Cincinnati Bengals had lacked physicality on the offensive line for some time.

Then, they brought in Orlando Brown Jr., drafted Amarius Mims a year later, and signed Dalton Risner last season.

All of a sudden, they have a pretty confident group up front.

Cincinnati’s o-line coach, Scott Peters, went on the “Bengals Booth Podcast”, hosted by Dan Hoard, and, among other things, talked about what he expects next from Mims, including “Total domination.“

“He’s got a license to kill. Sometimes, when you’re a big guy growing up, everybody tells you, ‘Hey, don’t break anything,” said Peters while adding, “‘Hey, Amarius, break something! Let’s go. It’s time to go. You can push the limit. We want to see what you can do.‘

“So, he’s starting to see that, and I think that for him, just watching his ability shine through, and that’s when the game becomes a lot of fun for him.”

Mims, the 18th pick in the 2024 Draft, is still just 23 years old, and indeed, as Peters pointed out, he began to flash his sky-high potential late last year.
