Scottie Scheffler has been the dominant force on the PGA Tour since he secured his first win way back in February 2022.
Four years later, and Scheffler now has 20 PGA Tour victories to his name, including four major championships.
However, the 29-year-old has shown signs of fallibility in the 2026 season, despite winning the first event he played this year.
In fairness to Scheffler, he does have three top-four finishes to his name on the PGA Tour in 2026, aside from that victory.
Considering the incredibly high standards he has set, though, itâs been clear to see that he hasnât quite been at the top of his game.

That said, there have been hugely positive signs for the world number one over the past week or so.
Scheffler loves the course at the RBC Heritage, and his game seems to be in tip-top condition once again.
Scottie Scheffler one step away from PGA Tour domination once again
It seems like 2026 has been a real grind for Scheffler so far.
The Texanâs swing is ungainly at the best of times but, this year, he has looked like a shadow of his former self.
His swing has been longer this season than it ever has been before and the position of his club at the top is too far across the line, rather than the neutral position it is usually in.
However, he seems to have finally figured out whatever his issue was.

Scheffler hit every single fairway on day two of the RBC Heritage at Harbour Town Links on Friday.
The world number one is driving the ball to a very high level once again, and heâs now ranked 11th in strokes gained off the tee this season.
Meanwhile, Schefflerâs putting has been very good all year long, and heâs ranked 16th in strokes gained on the greens in 2026.
However, his iron play has been incredibly poor by his standards.
Scottie Scheffler is close to figuring out his iron play
The man from Dallas, Texas, is ranked 81st in strokes gained approach so far this season, having topped the rankings in that category over the past three years.
However, there are signs that he is close to rediscovering his very best iron play.
He gained more than five strokes on the field with his approach play on Saturday at The Masters last week, and he has been very solid with his irons this week on Hilton Head Island.
He is back inside the top 35 for strokes gained approach during the first two rounds at the RBC Heritage.
While that doesnât sound great for a player of Schefflerâs calibre, it represents a huge improvement on what he has served up with his irons so far this season.
It wonât be long before everything clicks once again and he starts taking out flagsticks on a regular basis.
If Scheffler continues to make small improvements in his approach play, even if he manages to get inside the top 20 for strokes gained approach, he will be an absolute menace on the PGA Tour once again.
