West Ham's draw at Crystal Palace relegates Wolves from the Premier League!
The Seattle Seahawks met with Arkansas running back Mike Washington Jr. as they seek to fill their running back needs for the 2026 NFL draft. Washington had a standout season, rushing for 1,070 yards and eight touchdowns.
It's no secret the Seattle Seahawks are in need of a running back in the 2026 NFL draft. Yes, they signed Emanuel Wilson from the Green Bay Packers. However, that move alone isn't going to make up the 1,757 yards and 17 touchdowns produced by Kenneth Walker III and Zach Charbonnet during the 2025 season. This brings us to a potential option for Seattle in the upcoming draft: Arkansas running back Mike Washington Jr.
Washington recently met with the Seahawks as part of his Top 30 visits, something he confirmed to Seahawks Wire contributor Justin Melo in an interview. Washington's comments can be read below, and his full interview can be seen here.
"The Seattle Seahawks were my last visit. The process was a blessing in all honesty. It kind of feels like high school all over again. I’m being recruited by a bunch of folks (laughs). Except this time, they get to make the recruiting decision."
Washington had a breakout season last year for the Razorbacks, powering his way to 1,070 yards on the ground and tying a career-best eight rushing touchdowns. His official NFL draft profile describes him as having breakaway speed in the open field and has the traits to become a solid rotational back.
Mike Washington Jr. rushed for 1,070 yards and tied a career-best with eight rushing touchdowns during the 2025 season.
The Seahawks need a running back to replace the production lost from Kenneth Walker III and Zach Charbonnet, who combined for 1,757 yards and 17 touchdowns in 2025.
Washington described his visit with the Seahawks as a blessing, likening it to being recruited in high school, and confirmed it was his last visit before the draft.

Seattle split carries between Walker and Charbonnet last season, keeping both players as fresh as possible for the postseason, which paid off marvelously for them. Having another running back who can provide legitimate rotational value, especially when Charbonnet makes his return, will go a long way to solidifying the Seahawks' ground attack in 2026.
Interestingly enough, Washington's top player comparison is former Seahawks running back Chris Carson. One of the more underrated players of the late 2010's in my personal opinion. If Seattle can somehow find another Carson in Washington, then I suspect he will be quite a fan favorite among the 12's.
